The Effect that the Population Music Therapy Utilizing the Tone Chime Reaches to the Notice Concentration Power of the Loss Family Child and Self-esteem

Abstract
This study was to examine the effects of musical activities with visual supportive strategies on cognitive rehabilitation for the people with dementia patients. The participants of this study were 34 elderly people that were diagnosed as people of dementia from day-care center that was located in Seoul. 17 of them were assigned to experimental group and the other 17 people were assigned to control group according to K-MMSE, respectively. This musical activities with visual supportive strategies were carried out during 10 sessions. Before and after this program, SNSB(Seoul Neuro psycological Screening Battery) were carried out for the two groups. The results show the there were statistical significant differences on memory (immediate recall, attention(digit span test backward) and language function (repetition) between experiment(experimental and control group. According to this results, it was proved that the musical activities with visual supportive strategies is effective intervention on cognitive rehabilitation of elderly people with dementia.
